Great way to modernize the SKS |

I really like the Dark Earth color and the fact that I can keep my spike bayonet. I can also keep my cleaning rod, and fit the original cleaning kit in the pistol grip storage compartment.
The gas tube cover pin came out in 2 hits of the hammer in the vise, so that wasn't much of a challenge switching the covers.
You'll really want a dremel and a file to get the installation perfect. Plus a vise and a small punch.
Overall I'm very pleased with the quality and fit of the new stock.
I've just sent my SKS bolt out to theSKSmagAdapter and I'm having it modified so that I can insert loaded Tapco mags while the bolt is closed. I consider it a worthwhile investment to modernize such a well built firearm.
Long Story Short, update your SKS with a new stock, it's a beautiful face lift.
